Buick Century OWNER RATINGS & REVIEWS

Totally lives up to Buick's old businessman reputation - reliable but slow and boring
I don't dislike this car, but it is not the kind of car that I would choose to own (I got it as a gift). I've always seen Buick's as being the kind of car that old businessmen drive, and this car definitely fits in that mold: stuffy, no nonsense, and boring. That said, it IS a nice, smooth drive.

old fashioned but comfy
I have a 2003 Buick Century, silver colored. I was given this car, I didn't purchase it initially. It is very smooth to ride in, it's very comfortable. I drive it for my business, so I spend many hours driving around the city of Las Vegas. I wish it was more sporty - it doesn't corner very well. The acceleration is okay - it's better than my Saturn was, but it definitely struggles on some of the hilly onramps. It also struggles on a hill on one of the freeways. The air conditioning and heating work great though - even on the 120 degree days.

It is reliable, gets good gas mileage, affordable, and roomy.
I purchased the 2003 Buick Century at first because it was a good price at my dealer, and it was in good condition. It was the only one of the cars that I test drove that didn't have any sort of weird sounds coming from the engine. I thought the silver color was pretty, and I was impressed by how much room there was in the interior. Also, and this was a personal bonus for me, it was one of the few mid-2000's vehicle I saw that had a cassette player! I have a cassette-to-headphone jack converter so I can play my iPod in this car. The style is classic, it requires minimal upkeep, and I get great gas mileage even in the hilly area where I live. Even if it is a little bit of an older style, the pros of this car far outweigh the cons for me.
