Great truck, just too old...
I bought my truck because it was an older truck with the 300 inline 6 cyl engine, which is one of the best engines Ford ever made. It's very unusual for owners to have trouble with these trucks, but alas, I have had one issue after another. It all began when I bought it knowing the exhaust needed work and the parking brake cable was broken. I had a mechanic replace it and drove "Lisa" quite a lot, probably 15,000 miles. The real trouble began when I moved a friend several hundred miles to a new state. Going down I had no issues, got her settled in nicely, but on a run to get some of her stuff from a friend I blew the top radiator hose. That was an easy fix, but from there the problems multiplied. Bad thermostat made it overheat, then I had a clog in the radiator. then I replaced the brakes, and finally the last straw is it inexplicably will not start. I'm selling the truck for parts now, and I hope someone with better mechanical skills than I possess can restore her glory.

I like the how sturdy the vehicle is. I haven't had many problems. I feel safe in it. And I feel safe when I have my kid in it. It's been great when I needed to haul things. And it's been very reliable. I would recommend this truck to everyone. It's older, but I wouldn't trade it for anything else. I've had a few offers for my truck, and I've always turned them down. If I do get rid of this truck, it will be for one that is identical.
