Prior to owning my Ford Five Hundred, I'd sworn off the brand due to a previous bad experience with a Ford Escort station wagon. As of now, I don't think I every want to drive any other make again. I can't say enough in terms of reliability. In six years, this vehicle has held up throughout Midwest winters and thousands of miles leaving Missouri to start a new life in Arizona. A battery replacement and swapping out a flat tire aside, my car has never needed a major repair yet after consistent maintenance. That's actually more durability than I can credit to the Nissan that came before it. While it's no sporty coupe, it has giddy-up to spare. It doesn't lack for acceleration on the highway and keeps pace with just about any car on the road. The mileage isn't exactly ideal. It gets less than 27 miles to the gallon at best, but to look at the bigger body on this sedan, it's better than one would expect. On the inside, the steering wheel controls are a true luxury. It's a joy to be able to mute the stereo or dial up the volume with a flick of my thumb, and to do the same with the cruise control.

The car I purchased was used but in great condition. Even after 89,000 miles, the car ran smoothly and very little needed to be done to the car. The car is extremely roomy and a luxury size. The adjustable seats are great for moving me up higher and closer to the steering wheel. In the cold, snowy winter months I have had great traction and no issues with getting stuck in the snow. The fuel economy is good for the size of the car, but I wish it were a little better. I love to listen to music in this car, and unfortunately, as it is an older model, there is not a place for an aux cord nor is there Bluetooth. There is a CD player and very customized radio settings. The dashboard settings are great for providing information about when an oil change is needed or which car doors are open and the mileage.
