Used GMC Yukon XL for Sale

The 2016 GMC Yukon XL is built very well. We really like the design of the body, especially for being a bigger vehicle. The headlights are sleek and give the front end a sportier and classier look. There is more than enough space in the back to store our luggage when we go on a trip. The front seats add a touch of luxury because they offer the heated option and the air conditioning through the seats option. We enjoy and frequently use both of these options. The stereo is nice and provide a good, quality sound. The sensor lights for your blind spot on the side mirrors is a nice safety feature that has bailed me out a time or two. In addition, we like the front sensors that tell us how close we are to another vehicle when parking in a parking lot. Also, the back-up camera is super helpful when trying to reverse out of a parking space in a large parking lot. It allows us to see how close our back bumper is coming to the parked vehicle behind us. The steering wheel can be heated, which is nice. I would say one thing that could be improved is the power of the acceleration.

My Yukon is a 2003 model. We bought it used with 215,000 miles on it. We wanted this vehicle to pull our boat and be able to take guests with us to the lake, etc. The interior is leather and the driver and passenger seats are splitting on the edges, which I believe is pretty typical for the Yukon and Suburban counterpart. I love the roominess and being "up" high. At about 225,000 miles, the transmission went out and the transmission specialist said he was surprised it hadn't gone out sooner. Evidently another typical thing that happens with this vehicle. We had it fixed and haven't had any problems since. The exterior has started to rust in a few places, but that's probably pretty typical with the age of the vehicle. All in all, no real complaints about the performance. It is a safe, comfortable and reliable vehicle. We drove it to Colorado last year without incident. We even make a makeshift bed in the back so we could take turns sleeping! We enjoy yard sales and recently went to a "miles long" sale. There isn't much we can't fit into the back of our Yukon. This is the third Suburban/Yukon we have owned and would most definitely buy another one.
