Well I liked that it has a 4x4 system because I like to go off roading on my spare time. I do wish that it had a posi rear end with lockers so that my wheels don't have to keep spinning every time. Well with all in all being said and done, I do recommend this vehicles to others if they like to go off-roading. It is not the best set up hence being a stock vehicle set up, but it will do. If your not doing major off-roading it'll be fine. I Do also wish that I could have found a 4runner that is standard, straight front, and that is 4 cycle. For that reason being is that its more sturdy as the vehicle flexes much better even though independent susp. Are more strong. Well independents are more strong in their own way. But since I'm talking off-roading on the other hand, I personally prefer going with the straight front. I've owned a lot of off-roading vehicles and I've learned a lot. Using the 4 wheel drive (4lo 4hi 2 lo and 2hi) gears are great. It sure as hell beats that new fake Real Time 4x4 system they put in newer vehicle these days that come with the push button. Because that new system is not what a true 4wheel drive vehicle is. And a few more things, thus 4runner has a strong motor and trans, the electrical wire diagram sucks on how they wired the vehicle up, Toyota has a common problem with their 4runner having leaking rear axle seals. And to fix that major problem, the mechanic should not only change the seal, change the whole axle out.

I like that my vehicle is spacious enough for my family. The rear cargo area is really big for my shopping days. The seats are comfy. The rear (power) glass window goes up and down, which is very convenient for me to use for work or shopping. Most SUVs on the market don't have an option for the rear glass window to go up and down. The rear seats are collapsible. The SUV is a 4WD and has some power to do what I like to do on my free time, which is go off-roading. The SUV is easy to get in and out of no matter how (big) you are. There's no really bad blind spots as you operate the vehicle. The transmission is a lot stronger than some other gens. of the 4Runner. The bumpers are full chrome metal bumpers that most vehicle nowadays don't have, and that is made with plastic and hard foam. The thing that I hate about the vehicle is that the rear axle seal is a common problem that always has to be changed out every now and then because of a poor design from Toyota. The axle tube vent is also a flop. The brakes in the front warp to easily under hard pressure. The paint on the vehicle is, by far, the worst of the worst on the vehicle. The darker paint colors of my same gen. 4Runner all have paint peeling defects, while the white, gold, and silver paint colors last the longest and have no paint peeling problems.
