It's a great car
Basically all summed up above. Overall, though? Best/favorite car I have ever owned. Loads upon loads upon years of fun. It keeps going, nothing can kill this car. It has overheated, leaked gallons of oil, engine has been flooded, throttle linkage smashed in a pothole... It always starts running as good as new. I love it. This car is always loads of fun to drive with the top down in the rain and slide around a bit. You get all the looks at stoplights; nobody knows what it is. If you find one and want a toy, buy a Spider!

Alfa is the Alpha
Overall, I love this vehicle. It's by far the nicest vehicle I've ever owned, and I purchased it as kind of a reward for myself. The red leather interior is both beautiful and high quality. I constantly get compliments on both the interior and exterior of the car wherever I go, including several drive thrus. The fuel economy is desirable at 25-30 mpg, and although it does require high octane gasoline, it still costs about the same to fill up as my previous vehicle and goes farther on a tank. It's very stylish but definitely not the roomiest. My 6'4" husband is a little squished on leg room; however, he does love driving it as it handles like a dream (especially on S-curves), and it has some serious acceleration. Also, having just had a baby, we cannot put her in the vehicle, and there is next to no storage/cargo space. Having owned another vehicle under the same umbrella (Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Fiat, Maserati, Alfa Romeo), however, I should've known to expect some electrical issues. One of the rear speakers crackled from day one, and shortly after I purchased it, the check engine light came on and the car was shuddering very badly. I also have a diagnostic device plugged in and have gotten a few error codes in the past year, including one related to the starter. As of late, it sometimes takes ten or more tries to get it to start, not to mention the remote start also not working at these times.

This is a niche car. You either like it or hate it. It can beat a Ferrari 0-5 due to its fast velvet-like gear shift.
Only a niche car for a single person. It is small with limited A/C, because it was meant for northern Italy or northern California and has a low back end. It does not do well in floods. You can only drive in cool dry climates with the top down. Shifting gear is like a velvet exhaust. It sounds terrific. It truly is a car for cool, sunny, dry areas. It is a dream to drive, but you can't use it for a family, because it is a small car. The car can out run a Ferrari 0-5 due to its slick shifting.
