Audi was my dream brand. I wanted Q5 but decided that A4 will be better for commute. My opinion was that Audi makes great cars - after all the famous saying is "German precision". As far as the interior goes, yes, definitely it is superior in quality in comparison to VW. It held up very well, no scratches nor broken plastic or ripping of fabric or carpet. I bought it at 74,000 miles and put 45,000 on it, and it barely made it to 115,000 due to engine failure specifically the pistons rings being made out of wrong material that caused the oil to burn like crazy. Every full tank I had to put quarter of oil into the engine! Insane.
