The biggest tip I can offer about car buying is to not only limit yourself to the Beaumont area. There are several cities on the outskirts of Beaumont that have quality dealerships. As far as Beaumont itself, there are plenty of places to purchase cars. One of the best things is that many of the dealerships are in the same area, so there are plenty of options to choose from.

Favorite memory from driving in Beaumont is getting up early in the morning, and driving to my first 5K race. It was early in the morning, and I remember feeling so anxious and nervous while driving on the freeway. I recall traffic slowing down as I approached the area where the race was taking place. Since there was a marathon and half-marathon going on as well, there were so many cars headed to the race. I love this memory because it was a new experience for me, and it marked the beginning of a life changing event for myself.

11Th Street.. I like driving on 11th Street because there are several restaurants on this street that I enjoy. 11Th street is a fairly long stretch of road, and although the conditions on the street aren't the greatest, I always enjoy driving on this street because of the memories it brings back. Because of the eating spots and nostalgic feeling I get on this street, 11th street will always remain my favorite street to drive on in Beaumont.

I would tell them to drive slow and take their time. If you turn down the wrong street here, you will encounter huge bumps and potholes.

Mike Smith is one of the best down here. It isn't the cheapest but you can always be assured that you're getting a quality car. The dealers at these places are very friendly as well.

I remember vividly a street downtown in which you can look down and see 11 consecutive stop lights in a row. One night while driving down this street, I came upon a rare time when all 11 lights were green at the same time. This is very rare. I snapped a picture and continued to drive through all of them. I have never come across this scenario again.

Dowlen. Its a major street in Beaumont that has all the business and stores on it. It also contains the mall as well. Its a nice smooth street and not too stop light heavy.
