We really enjoy our 2012 Chevy Equinox. It is very reliable, and has never broken down on us in the 2 years we have had it so far. The seats are comfortable, and the back seat is very car seat friendly for babies and children. I highly enjoy having the eco mode where I can save gas mileage when driving on the highway. I own the basic model Equinox, and I have been a bit disappointed with the internet quality. The fake chrome around the cup holders is peeling off and those areas feel very plastic. I have found that I can easily fit my horseback riding gear in the back, which is a need for me.

We had one as a rental vehicle after an accident and liked it so much we went and bought one. It is just the right size for our family and was quite affordable as a daily driven people mover. It is definitely not a luxury vehicle, but is very nicely equipped and comfortable and durable for a family with small children. We have the 4 cylinder, 6 speed auto with AWD, and the car never feels under-powered.
