This is the second 2000 Chevrolet Malibu that we have owned. We paid cash for both of them. The first one we bought from a private party. The one we have now we bought from a dealership as a used vehicle. The trunk is a good size and can pack a lot in it. It is deep and wide. The car we have now has a tilt steering wheel and cruise control on the steering wheel. I like the tilt because it gets the steering wheel out of my line of vision when I am driving. I am very short so the windshield and back window are more difficult for me to see out of. The seats are comfortable for long trips. The controls are easy to reach and operate while driving. The headlights automatically are on low beam as soon as you turn the car on and shut off after a few seconds when you turn the car off. Someone put an aftermarket radio/CD player in this car, so it is a little more difficult to operate and reset than other ones. The valve cover gasket had to be replaced when I bought the car which added to our cost. We also had the water pump replaced at the same time. It is difficult for me to get the water coolant overflow bottle open to add water/coolant when I need to. That is the only way to add the water/coolant. There is no radiator cap. We like the trip odometer.
