2013 Chevrolet Malibu - Malibu!
The car is fantastic. It has a sporty body but still provides plenty of room for the mid-size vehicle. It has an auto-stop engine, so if the car comes to a stop and doesn't need to keep running it will turn off momentarily until you remove your foot from the brakes. It also has a great sound system from Pioneer that really helped sell the car. The car has run flawlessly for the 25,000 miles we have had it and we look to keep for as long as we possibly can.
Historia
When my wife and I moved, we crammed all sorts of things into the car, way more than I thought. We worked really hard to make sure that my wife could see out of the mirrors when driving down the interstate.
A Favor
It gets almost forty miles to the gallon when making cross state or cross country trips. This was almost double what my previous car got. It also has great lighting so it is really easy to see long distances. There is a lot of room to seat five even with me being 6'2'' tall. And finally it has a lot of power for a four-cylinder so I never worry about not being able to get up in a hurry if I ever need to.
En Contra
The car was a little on the expensive side. It was listed new at $27,800 but we bought it used for $17,999 with 20,000 miles on it. Other than that, everything else is a positive.
2014 Chevrolet Malibu - Great midsize
This is a highly competitive participant in the midsize category. The interior comfort is very good with high technology appointments. The design is sleek and attractive with a modern but efficient look. The car has above average power and good acceleration. I would stack it up against most other midsize vehicles I have driven or seen quite favorably. For the money, this is one of the best cars on the market because you get comfort, power, style and all at a very affordable cost.
Historia
It has been more than up to the task for weekend family outings around home. We have taken it to local ballgames, amusement parks and numerous special occasion meals.
A Favor
The car has top notch comfort and technology that comes standard. It is a very reasonably priced vehicle in the midsize market. The power and acceleration are surprisingly strong as is the good gas mileage. From my experience, this is also a very reliable vehicle with no unnecessary maintenance costs.
En Contra
The car is lacking on negative aspects, but I guess if I had to name a couple, they would be interior roominess, especially in the back seat and cargo room in the trunk.
