I'm the second owner of a 2002 Chevy Silverado extended car 4x4. I really like this truck. Even at 11 years old with 83000 miles, it runs great. The 5.3 V8 makes plenty of power, and gas mileage is respectable. I've gotten 14mpg highway towing a large 12 foot trailer. Not bad. The interior is quite comfortable, and the truck rides better than my other car. In addition, the back seat provides ample room for car seats so I can bring my whole family along. I also really like the "Auto 4WD" feature where you just push the button and the truck figures out when it needs to engage 4WD in slippery conditions.

The Chevrolet Silverado Classic has provided me with a very reliable vehicle for commuting back and forth to work for a number of years. Living in a climate that requires 4-wheel drive in the winter months gave me the peace of mind of driving in snow. The gas mileage was not something to write home about but I enjoyed the comfort a large vehicle has to offer. I still drive this vehicle today and I am currently at 185,000 miles. The only problem that I have had started at about 130,000 miles when I needed a catalytic converter due to it clogging with carbon. Since then I have had to replace the converter twice, which is not an inexpensive item. However, I have kept the oil and filter changed and good tires under the truck and it has treated me with a reliable and comfortable mode of transportation. I would definitely buy another.
