My 2008 Dodge Caliber was the epitome of mediocre. The interior was a very basic dark gray with a mostly plastic feel. It came equipped with little to no features. It had power windows, but no GPS or fancy computer-like technology for controlling external music or radio. It was larger than a sedan but not quite an SUV. It offered no benefits to driving in the snow. It was roomy, though, coming with plenty of legroom in both the front seats and the back. I had transmission issues in it, even though I hadn't put many miles on it. It doesn't offer any benefits when it comes to driving in poor weather. It didn't have any traction options or four-wheel drive. I didn't feel very safe in situations in which the weather had taken a turn for the worse. It handled very poorly, feeling very loose and imprecise. I found the vision to be quite poor. There were a few blind spots that made driving uncomfortable and stressful at times.

This car is by far the worst car I've ever owned. It's the first American car I've had and it shows that this country has a lot to do to compete with the big guns. I've only had it for three years and have already put $3,000 into fixes that are very strange for a car with around 120,000 miles on it, like a new motor mount and tie rods. It also gets pretty bad gas mileage - maybe 25 freeway. It's a noisy car to drive, lots of plastic rattles. I'm an avid cyclist and tried to put my bike in the trunk because it seems like a crossover SUV type vehicle should be able to accommodate that and it didn't even remotely fit. It's a weird shaped car and I hate it. It's not even comfortable to sit in for long periods of time - it's just the weirdest, worst car I've ever owned and ever sat in.
