I primarily used this truck for work. As far as work goes, it's an overall good truck. Very reliable and easy to get used to when I first bought it. It is one of those trucks that just feels powerful.
Historia
Even though this is a 1500, I was able to pull more than that without squatting out the truck. I would drive all around Omaha towing trailers and never had a problem with the truck.
A Favor
My biggest positive is the options with this truck. I was able to add on side boxes on my bed as well as add a toolbox behind the cab. Adding these didn't seem to change any level of performance on the vehicle. There is also lots of storage built into the truck—under the floor, in the doors, center console, etc. It made packing in lots of tools a breeze.
En Contra
On the other hand, I wouldn't spend much of my personal time behind the wheel of this truck. The seats get uncomfortable to sit in after an hour or so. Also, in my truck, I noticed it was very hard to clean. My family didn't like to ride in the truck, even after I would clean it out, because dirt seemed to never come out all the way.

This Dodge Ram 1500 Crew Cab, is my first Dodge. It has the 5.7-liter hemi engine. I get decent gas mileage of 18 mpg highway. It has 390 horsepower. It feels very powerful and fast. There are not a lot of vehicles I cant pass. The interior is very spacious. My family of five fits perfectly inside. The sound system is great, very loud and clear, can play any type of music and it sounds good. Lots of cargo room in the full-size pickup box. It is about five feel long, so it is not too deep or too shallow. My trim level only has cloth seats, but they are comfortable. It has power windows and locks and electric start as well.
Historia
I had someone road raging me on the highway and tailgating really close. I put the accelerator to the floor, and the truck accelerated up to about 115 miles per hour before it cut out. The off-ending road rager was over a half mile or more behind me after that.
A Favor
I love the power of the hemi engine. It accelerates very quickly. It can haul heavy loads with ease. It usually gets decent fuel economy as well. It looks sharp with the chrome grill and running boards, and bumpers. The 20-inch factory wheels are also chrome and look good.
En Contra
The door lock on the right rear door has gone out. Not a huge deal, but if you leave that door unlocked and lock the doors with the remote, then open that door the alarm will go off. It can be very difficult to get the alarm off especially if you can't find the keys. It has a small leak from the water pump as well, and I have to add coolant from time to time.
