The car drove well - not smooth, necessarily, but I felt safe driving it. Until we started having problems with the brakes and tires, that is. Brakes have to be replaced in any vehicle, so that's understandable. But, the tires were apparently difficult for mechanics in our area to remove, and after spending quite a lot of time and money on the problem, we finally found out one of the tires was not repairable due to something being wrong with the knuckle. I'm not even sure what the knuckle of a tire is, but one has to trust the mechanic. We did have rust on the underside of the car, and that contributed to the problem. The mechanic said if he were to try to remove the tire, it may break something altogether, and the car would not be drivable. Or, we could keep driving it as is, and risk... (more)
Historia
The car had a sun roof, and it was fun to open on a sunny day and drive around town with the radio on. We live near the beach, so the weather allowed for this often during the summer. The one summer we were able to drive it was fun.
A Favor
I like being high up off the ground and being able to see everything around us - the visibility is excellent. I like how it feels sturdy.
En Contra
The tires seem to be a problem. Repair and upkeep on this vehicle is expensive.

I own a 2008 Ford Escape. This has been an excellent vehicle that has been through a lot. I drive this vehicle many miles a day to work each day. It currently has 166,000 miles and is still running smoothly. The interior of the car still looks fairly new. The seats which are not leather, resist stains very well. I have a basset hound that rides in the backseat each day and the seats vacuum up very well. I would also give the stereo system a high rating. The speakers are clear and make you feel immersed in the music you are playing. However, I wish the vehicle had blue tooth built in. I would consider this a negative. I also give high marks to the amount of space in the rear compartment. I am easily able to fit an industrial size vacuum and all types of other cleaning products with spac... (more)
Historia
I have had many great experiences with this car. One particular experience that comes to mind is putting my dog, a basset hound, in the backseat and having my partner in the passenger seat, and driving down the beach on a cool, fall day. I knew I didn't have to worry about the sand getting in the car from my dog because the car is very easy to clean.
A Favor
It has lasted a very long time...166,000 Miles. The upholstery resists stains, even under tough circumstances. The body of the car stands up to hits and dings. The sound system has excellent quality. It has lots of space in the rear compartment.
En Contra
Gas mileage could be better. It is lacking built in blue tooth capability.

** Sorry, there is no current Yelp link for it. The main site, above, was all I had and it has their physical address too. ** The dealer worked with me on a great price, and they included the tag and title fees with the price already (Which made the fees practically free). When the car had an issue when I went to test drive it, they worked on it to make it right for me (Driver's side seat track issue, and a light bulb issue). They were prompt in answering all of my questions, and they gave me a detailed history of the owner before me and all the work it had done to it.
