I bought this truck after losing a new model car to an accident, I was hesitant about purchasing the truck at first but once I heard the engine I knew that I wanted to purchase it. One of the biggest selling points to me was that an older truck like that was pretty cheap to get so I didn't even have to go through a bank really. Owning this truck has offered me security that most newer vehicles can not. I never had to take out a loan on it so no matter what happens with the economy or job market it is mine to keep. Also I have found that the parts or relevantly easy to obtain if anything ever does need to be replaced. Where it's such an old model it is basically a given that something is going to go bad at some point, though it surprised me how much more solid it was than newer model vehicles. I feel as though it is much more reliable than modern cars such as the one I had before. It is also extremely simple to work on it, I don't have to worry about bothering with any of the computers and such modern vehicles have.
