My 2002 Ford Focus has lasted me 200,000 miles. I did have to get a new rebuilt transmission at 200,000 miles but the car is running like new right now. The ride has been very smooth, and I enjoy the comfort and space in my vehicle. The downside is that American parts are a bit more expensive to find. Luckily, I have a great relationship with the Ford Dealer. I found them to be honest and reliable and I have been able to hold on to my car for a very long time. I also would give this vehicle a very high safety rating, and I feel comfortable driving in bad weather or road conditions. The space is very nice yet the car doesn't look like a huge vehicle. As a musician, the space is very handy and I can easily fit my equipment in this car. I have a hatchback Ford Focus. My car doesn't look old and looks very chic and timeless. I love the silver paint and the interior looks very sleek and modern as well. I would recommend this vehicle for someone looking for a reliable, affordable American car.

I drive a 2013 Ford Focus SE. It's the first car I've purchased on my own. I was drawn in by its sportier look; it has the appearance package (fancy rims, spoiler, interior lights, etc.). I liked the size of the car. I was at a stage where I didn't want a larger vehicle, but I needed something reliable and budget friendly. I still love the beautiful candy apple red color and how cute it appears from different angles. The interior is black leather which offers an easy to clean and maintain -- but often extremely hot inside. I wouldn't purchase this again since I live in Florida. The backseat doesn't provide much leg room. You can fit four adults in the car but not comfortably. I'm tall and with long legs, I have to have the driver's seat pushed back all the way, which doesn't leave much room for the back passenger. The car has had multiple recalls which have caused inconvenience and dangerous driving conditions. The transmission catches, which causes the car to shudder and hesitate before switching gears. It can be hard to take off at a stop light and to trying to 'gun it' to get away from a hazard is also impossible. Overall, the car looks great, but when considering my next purchase, I will reevaluate the reliability and comfort compared to the overall appearance.
