Good on gas.
This vehicle is a sleeper. I like it because it isn't too compact. When in the need to ship small to medium sized items I can still do so with ease along with comfort as well. I wasn't expecting to like a Ford Focus so much being that I never really appreciated the standard size car units but this car packs a nice punch. Not only is the car somewhat spacious for its standard to economy size, the gas is of course a great plus for traveling purposes. On those long roads going back home this baby gets excellent to superb gas mileage. Only if your oil change is up to date will you truly receive the superb end of gas mileage but even with a slack or to on the oil change your mileage is still wonderful. The Ford Focus should get you on average 22 miles to the gallon. Love the dependability and easy maintenance as well. Great all around starter car the only thing I would complain about is the lengthy payments but hey does anybody really like those? If you can own one of these babies out the gate that is even better. Insurance was not too high on this especially if you get a silver tone color. While other individual factors may vary in the determination of your insurance this is for sure a great buy all around for your commuting a everyday traveling needs. Especially if you are looking for something reliable that saves on gas.

Dependable, but not flashy.
Overall, my 2005 Ford Focus is a dependable, inexpensive option for an every day car. I've used it for daily commute and one long distance drive, and it has handled everything I've asked it to do perfectly. It doesn't cost much to keep it gassed up, and it seems like it has a pretty good fuel efficiency. I've driven it through the desert, and I can say that I trusted it completely to not have any problems or strand me out there unexpectedly. I have never spent any money on it besides regular oil changes either, and I got the car when it was at over 100,000 miles. It's dependable and simple. The main drawback for me is that it does have a strangely loud motor, especially in the morning when you turn it on for the first time. It sounds like it is running poorly, even though it is not. It runs fine, you'll just never be sneaking up on anyone with it. As for transporting, I use it to transport my bike on a bike rack, but there is not a whole lot of room for too much in the trunk or in the back, and it does not really lend itself to a roof rack. For the most part, it's a great car and it absolutely is a good choice for an every day, commuter car.

A reliable, sturdy car
I have driven my Ford Focus for about 125,000 miles now. The Focus has very great gas mileage, and I only have to fill up about 1.5-2 weeks. It's sturdy, it has great handling, and feels kind of speedy/sporty, but it does not have the best traction or transmission. The car is not the most masculine or sporty looking, but it's a very nice beginner and affordable car for owners on a budget. It has a nice, red, sporty look despite being a more feminine looking car, and it is quite reliable and has never broken down. Even the tires have taken a few nails and never needed replacing and never lost air that much. Any car will have its problems, but this car definitely does not have very many. A good car for budgets, road trips, reliability, practicality and performance. Little-to-no issues overall and in good shape despite many miles.
