This is a terrific all-around vehicle, perfect for singles or couples. It was my first car, and has taken me across the country several times as I've moved around. I appreciate that it comes in many unique colors (mine is a kind of pale green) and has such a wonderful safety rating that in my experience is well deserved. After more than a hundred thousand miles my car still runs essentially as it did the day that it was purchased, and though it isn’t flashy, it continues to be a pleasure to drive every single day. It can’t be beat for quality for value, or for maneuverability: the three-point turns in a Focus are unparalleled (and the parallel parking is pretty good too…pun intended). It’s also fast for such a small car; I’ve never had any trouble getting it up to speed or merging quickly, and the cruise control works flawlessly for long drives, so the engine is surprisingly robust, which is great. I would recommend this car to basically anyone, although it’s probably not a good family car because the hatchback and single set of doors make the backseat difficult to access and sometimes to climb in and out of.

The styling is nothing to write home about, but it's reliable and gets me where I'm going. I like that it's a Toyota because I feel that I can trust the brand. Toyotas are known for lasting a long time and that gives me some peace of mind. It's always started for me and despite some rust, it's not the ugliest car on the road.
