Ford Focus Decent For New Drivers But Not Very Reliable
This car is one that I got for just local travel. It rides nicely and smoothly, though the power steering is a bit iffy. The wheel is difficult to turn at times, but that aside, it turns nicely. The gas pedal isn't touchy, so if you have a bit of a lead foot, you don't have to worry about going TOO fast. My only real BIG issue is that the belt busted after only a year of driving it (though I bought it used and I'm not sure of the history of the car). The cruise control in mine did not work. I'm not sure how long it hadn't been working, though. And the gas gauge is unreliable. More cons than pros; I wouldn't recommend this car for anyone who travels a lot or wants to go too far from home, but for say, a teen who just got their license, it'd be a pretty good pick.

Decent vehicle for daily travel and trips
The overall value of the car is exactly what you would expect from a vehicle of its style and reputation. With 18,000 miles, it has required no extra, costly upkeep outside of the regularly-scheduled maintenance. Its fuel economy is exceptional for both city and country travel, and it is reliable for the infrequent long-distance vacation and even a frequent, demanding commute. The car is very comfortable for a driver and passenger, but the space is rather limited in the backseat. A twin-sized mattress can fit perfectly between the trunk and the backseat, but anything larger would be tough to fit!
