It was an inexpensive car, and it could have been a great first car for a high school kid, like I was at the time. It had about 140,000 miles on it, but the previous owner did not take care of the car very, so when I bought it, it had problems that I did not know about until it was too late.
Historia
I had a lot of good times driving around the city with friends and driving to school on weekdays. I felt like I had status—having my own car as a teenager and not having to use mom and dad's car.
A Favor
Initially, it drove well. It was a comfortable vehicle with a solid body. It was rusty around the edges (by the bottom of the doors and near the wheels), but it was still very functional—just not the prettiest vehicle.
En Contra
This car had transmission problems, and I think that the transmission problems were festering for quite a while before I bought the car. I'd only had the car for maybe three months, and it started sputtering and stalling on me when I accelerated. The car actually caught fire on me one day when my dad and I were trying to get it to the mechanic. We had left our apartment and gotten maybe 30 feet out of the driveway, and the car started smoking and there were flames coming from the hood of the vehicle. We hurried up and put out the fire, and after that, we just had the vehicle junked for $60.

At first this car looks old, worn down, and not suited for me, but after 180k miles, I can say she did it all for me. She has driven all over the US with only a couple hiccups here and there. The transmission dropped around 175k miles but was a quick fix. There is no rattling from the car, even after all the long trips over tough terrain. This car can do it all, even carrying six passengers for the annual laser tag convention.
Historia
Riding six people deep across the entire USA to California for a convention. Enough room for six people for 39 hrs.
A Favor
The lay-down back seats create enough trunk space to help you move across the country. The amount of space the trunk already has is extended into the back seat. The leg room is great as well, with adjustable seats and adjustable pedals. The heated mirrors were the best invention back in the early 2000s.
En Contra
Transmission going bad after 175k miles kind of hurt. The headlights corroded after just 100k miles. The ceiling starting to cave in after 150k miles.
