Good car...until 100K miles
When we bought our Acadia, it had 66K on it. We have taken three long road trips, and it has been pretty reliable for all of those. We didn't have any issues with it until we hit 100K miles. At 100K miles, we took it in for new tires and an oil change...from then on it has been problem after problem. First, the brakes began to give an error. We replaced the master cylinder and booster, only to have the calipers begin freezing up on us while driving on a long road trip. We got those replaced, and on our next trip, the blower motor went out. It was raining so the windows fogged up, and we couldn't drive it without the windows open. Now the shocks need replaced. This is all in the last 10K miles.

Pretty happy
We purchased this vehicle used. It was five years old with 60K miles on it when we got it. We chose it over a Chevy Traverse mainly because of the luxury feel of it. The road noise was much less, and the ride was smoother. Our trim model also has the heated seats, which are very nice in cold weather. The first couple of years were incident-free, but in the last two years of ownership, as the car has hit ten years old and 100K+ miles, we have run into some fairly big problems. First, the brake booster and master cylinder had to be replaced, followed by the calipers freezing up and also needing replaced. This has caused some anxiety over feeling safe in the vehicle, as brakes are one of the worst issues to have with a car. We have also had to have the water pump replaced (which was thankfully under warranty) and are now being told that the catalytic converters (there are multiple ones) are failing and will need to be replaced soon. For a ten-year-old car, I know we should expect some issues, but for it all to happen suddenly right at ten years/100K miles is very distressing and expensive!
