I have had my Terrain two years, and after 30,000 miles, I'm still very happy with it. Living in the snowy Northeast, the all-wheel drive has been a God-send. It sits high enough for me to get a good view of traffic yet is small enough to easily fit into parking spots. The seats are comfortable and adjustable. The dash gauges are well laid out and easily readable. I have the four-cylinder, and while it struggles sometimes, for example, when accelerating to get on the highway, the better gas mileage has made up for that.
Historia
As I mentioned, I live in the Northeast US, in a location famous for the snow it gets. With previous cars, I've gotten stuck in the snow and had to forego trips when the weather was bad. With my Terrain, I'm able to drive safely through the snow. We had a late winter storm which dropped about 8" of snow in the driveway overnight. A Favor
The best things I like about my Terrain are the good value for the price, the styling, and the interior comfort. A must-have option for me is a heated driver seat - it's cozy warm on a frigid morning.
En Contra
One of downsides is the entertainment system options and controls can be a bit daunting. Certain features I use infrequently will have me pulling out the owner's manual to find out (again!) how to use them. They also have a navigation system I've never used and never will. I recently received a mailing to alert me I could purchase an update to the navigation system's maps for about $100. I think that's ridiculous.

I just leased a 2015 GMC Terrain and I could not be happier with my decision. Being this is my third Terrain in six years, I am not surprised by how much I love the car. It offers a level of comfort and convenience that any of the higher end cars offers, but for a lesser price. The back up camera is a great feature, as it outlines the path your car will take, taking into consideration how much you've turned your steering wheel. The Terrain rides beautifully on the highway. Its a nice, quiet ride with no vibration at all. Overall, it is simply a car that offers an abundance of features for a really good price.

Two weeks after getting my new Terrain, my wife's water broke in the front seat. We got the car because we were expecting, so I guess that was my daughters way of letting us know it was part her car too
A Favor
The handling is superb! I never feel unsafe while driving my Terrain, even around those turns that can sneak up on you. For its size, the Terrain offers a lot of space. The interior is much bigger than the looks of it from the outside. The Terrain is an absolute monster in the snow. With the AWD, I have never had a problem in the snow, and my previous Terrains saw a lot of it.
En Contra
The black interior as the only option is the biggest con about the Terrain. In hot weather, as with any car, a black interior can pose to be a problem. If GMC would start offering the Terrain in a tan or beige interior, I think it would be more convenient and beneficial to customers.
