Drive along the lake and on county roads for beautiful views and serenity. As people tend to drive too fast or too slow here, not following the speed limits, it's nice to avoid them and the highways.

I have not purchased a car here. However, most of the dealers I have seen are concentrated on a strip out in Plymouth, WI. When buying a car here, I'd be mindful of the weather and what your needs will be each season (I.e. 4 wheel drive, towing, all season tires, etc.). I would not recommend craigslist here as it is mostly used for scams. Most of the big city websites are not utilized by the locals (e.g. Craigslist and Yelp). Instead, I'd put the word out there on what you are looking for as many things are still done by word-of-mouth. Also there are some Facebook groups, like Treasure Box, that allow for buying and selling, local referrals, and networking. While people are generally helpful, they also appear to be mostly low income, so you may not get the results your looking for if you at interested in a new car or something with relatively low mileage.

When I first moved to Sheboygan, last winter, December 2014, I had never driven in the snow. Coming from the California San Francisco Bay Area, I was only use to a very mild winter. Before moving here my husband and I made sure to get snow tires and decided that I would drive the CRV, rather than the Accord so that I would have the all wheel drive. My mother-in-law watched my son as I ventured out in the snow the first time. I didn't want him to be there in case it was a total disaster. I set out to the winters farmers market on the other side of town, taking city roads to get there. When in the area, I almost missed a left turn and quickly turned as I was going through the intersection. I hit ice, and slid. I let my foot off the pedal and drove into the slide, correcting the turn once I had completed most of the turn and gotten out of the ice. It was so exciting and reminded me of snowboarding only in a vehicle. I was thankful that I experienced it only going about 15 miles per hour and that there were not any other vehicles around me at the time.

Lakeshore Road.. Lakeshore Rd. Is very scenic. On the south side of town, it takes you by a power plant and you can see all the coal cars for the train, topping over with coal. My 2 year old son gets very excited. In the middle of town, it takes you by Lake Michigan, the beach, and several parks. It also offers some inclines and dips and turns with the land, reminding me of California and connecting me to the terrain here. On the north side of town, it takes you past a river and into farm and country land. This route has a lot of variety and highlights some of Sheboygan's best features.

The roundabouts can be confusing, I'm still not used to them and I drive around this city almost every day. The best advice I can give is to just take it slow and be observant. Pay attention to where the other cars around you are going, because many other drivers are just as confused.

Of course there are many dealerships all over the city, it just depends on how you want to go about it. There are many options on craigs list or if you prefer you can drive into the city to one of the dealerships. Personally if I am purchasing a car I am going to a Jeep dealership. We get a good amount of snow in the winter and if you have to go out early in the morning before the snow plows then you want a good four wheel drive. I have always had jeeps, they are great for starting in the winter and sub zero degree temperatures. Usually when you go to a dealership you get a more dependable car as well.

I love driving around Lambeau Field the stadium is beautiful especially when it is all lit up. They've done quite a few improvements so the roads are in great condition. Even heavy traffic moves smoothly and there is very little delay even when there is heavy traffic.

Lombardi Ave.. Everyone in Green Bay loves the Packers, just the history behind the names makes the drive interesting and fun. This is the main part of the city, everything flows around the stadium. There is a lot of activity, stores, restaurants and a huge mix of people, especially during football season. Plus it's always fun looking for a stray Packer.
