I own a 2000 Honda Accord which I bought used from my family when I began college. We have lovingly named her Kimmy, and she feels like a family member since we've all grown up in that car! Some of the other upgrades consist of adaptive cruise control, navigation and a touch-screen display. Every version of the 2017 Accord sedan can return more than 30 mpg on the highway. When equipped with a CVT, the four-cylinder model can return 27 mpg in the city and a solid 36 mpg on the highway. Expect the manual transmission to slightly reduce its fuel economy. Fortunately, the new model does not require the use of premium fuel.
