2002 Honda CR-V - Honda CRV Best of Both Worlds
The 2002 Honda CRV is a solid choice for just about any driver looking to buy. One of the key benefits of the CRV is having an SUV that handles and feels like a regular sized car. The visibility in particular is unparalleled for an SUV, with a very large rear window and two additional side windows as well. The storage capacity is unbelievable for a vehicle that size. I fit the contents of a 750 sq. Foot apartment in my CRV - along with two adults and a cat - and it was a piece of cake.
There are also a lot of neat, thoughtful features that you wouldn't expect in this particular model, including a back that transforms into a removable picnic table, and side hooks in the rear to place grocery sacks; keeping them from rolling around. The drink holder between the two front chairs swings d... (more)

I have a lot of wonderful memories with this vehicle. Some of my favorites involve my kitten. When I adopted him, the people brought him out to me while I was sitting in this car. He rode the whole way home sleeping on my lap; so small then he fit into my upturned palm. This became a habit for him; he is my copilot. Even on longer trips on the highway, his favorite spot in the car is sleeping ... (more)
A Favor
My absolute favorite thing about the CRV was the visibility, hands down. You won't get a better view of the road from any other vehicle. Another favorite feature was the luggage/content capacity -- space for miles; while the feel when you are driving the car is that it is much smaller. It's a wonderful surprise. It feels small when you'd want it to - I don't want to feel like I'm driving a boat, or something extra wide, or something really high off the ground - but it's large as can be when you'd like it to be, too; such as when you are moving an entire living space and don't want to rent ... En Contra
I don't have many negative things to say about the CRV. It's a fantastic choice for anybody. I guess the most negative thing is that the car has an electronic anti theft system, which equates to an extremely expensive mistake if you lose the keys. You can't just have a new key cut by anybody; the key has to be programmed to the anti theft system for that particular vehicle, so replacement will run you around $200 or more -- much more if you can't have a locksmith meet you on site. The upside of the locking system with the CRV is that for people like me, who have a bad habit of locking your... (more)
2004 Honda CR-V - Economical, fun, and too small.
I've owned my CR-V for ten years and 120,000 miles. Her small stature and unimposing features hide a voracious engine (the V-Tech 2.4L). It has a firm grip when the four-wheel drive engages (always with perfect timing and immediate response). I have driven her daily and had a smooth ride to work each time. The height is perfect to see over other cars but not so big as to take up the whole lane. I do think it could be a little bigger. Compact is one thing, but this car may have been built with smallish people in mind. I loved the motor, suspension, and four-wheel drive. I wasn't too happy about the interior lack of space and the thin carpeting on the seats and doors. Lastly the Bose stereo with the six-disc CD changer is a little old but still rocks out when I hear a good song. Overall,... (more)

Riding out on the beach in Daytona at night and hanging out in the back with my girl. It was a very memorable night, and I still hold that memory from time to time when I look at my car.
A Favor
The function of the car is some of the best I have seen in a multitude of terrains. I've driven it over the road for long road trips (thousands of miles each). I've driven up near vehicle dirt roads in the Appalachian Trail and along the beach in Daytona, Florida. No matter where I go, this car preforms at the peak of its ability. The economics of this car are simple. The gas mileage has stayed above 20 city and 24 highway. The car needs very little repair with proper maintenance. The ride is comfortable, and the guys making the suspension must be genius. The over-the-road driving was most... (more)
En Contra
The size can be uncomfortable after a few hours of driving. There is no real room to stretch out my legs and despite a rear-folding seat, there is no good way to sleep for a nap at a rest stop when needed. The appearance from the outside is small too which can appear a little wimpy. When taking my nephews out for the afternoon, one of them always ends up getting sick in the car. That is only a problem, because the carpet is almost flat and many things stick to it or get absorbed by it. So that has led to a few smells. The other aspect was the braking. It takes awhile to get the brakes work... (more)

2013 Honda Odyssey - Ralph Schomp Honda Littleton
I have been buying/leasing vehicles from Ralph Schomp for the past 10 years. They do not work on commission so you are not bombarded by someone when you walk in. The staff is always friendly and willing to help you. They are very professional and offer the best pricing.
