I love the Honda CR-V. It is the third one I've owned and with time, they only get better and better. The gas mileage has improved tremendously since my first one.
Historia
When I first got this car, my daughter and I were about to go on a short road trip to a concert. I bought it one morning without her knowing, and when I got home and showed her, she was ecstatic. She said, "Do we get to take that on the trip?" It was so fun.
A Favor
The best things about this vehicle is that it has all the bells and whistles, without a huge price. I love the backup camera, the sunroof, the side airbags, Bluetooth accessibility, and the amount or AUX and USB ports. The back row passengers even have an air vent to control. But my favorite thing of all is the blind spot camera. I don't know how I drove without that before. My second favorite is the heated seats. Again, I don't know how I managed to survive without that.
En Contra
It does cost a lot to add on extras. I wanted the luggage rack, not for actual usage, but it is attractive. Too expensive though. It also lacked the ability to get satellite radio and does not have a built in GPS. However, if you have a smartphone, neither of those should be too big of an issue.

I owned a used 2009 CRV, and it has been the best all-around car and value for the money. Averaging about 26 mpg of mixed highway and city driving. Anyone can drive this car, getting in and out and finding a comfortable seating position is a breeze. Easy to drive, large windows. The controls are easy to reach and where you expect them to be. Many places to store phone, items, etc. Plenty of room and power, and the heated leather seats are great. The mileage is about what I expected, not great but it won't break the bank.

Loved long drives in this 2009 CRV; it was fun. It's a good car for regular use. I had so much fun with this car. I traveled to seven different states with this car, no problem at all.
