Used Honda Fit for Sale in Joliet, IL

I purchased my 2013 Honda Fit in February of 2014. Overall, I absolutely love it. The gas mileage is decent in town, but on long drives it averages close to 40 MPG which I find to be pretty good for a non-hybrid/EV car. As is Honda's reputation, the car is well-made and feels reliable. The car's first big trip was from Pennsylvania to Illinois, over 800 miles. I encountered some rough roads in Indianapolis since it was within days of a significant winter storm, but the Fit handled slush and ice well. I'm still adjusting to the small size of the car when it comes to highway driving; it's quite small so it feels a bit intimidating when surrounded by tractor trailers. I also get a bit anxious because I've heard the safety reviews of the Fit are not the greatest.

This car truly is one of the best cars I have ever owned. I bought it brand new in 2007. Over the past 14 years I have put 350,000 miles on the car. The motor has not once had any issue. The only garage service it has required is general maintenance like oil changes and tires/rotations. Yes, the car is basic, however it is reliable and easy to put anywhere. It handles well in the snow, and gets excellent gas mileage. There are a few drawbacks, however. For starters, the air conditioner died about 9 years ago. The locks in the doors no longer work, so I can't lock up my car, and the trunk only opens from the inside. One design flaw that I have found and I dread working on is when a headlight needs changed. One must reach the headlight from behind the wheel well... and one must do it blindly. All in all, I believe this is the best car I have ever owned.
