2001 Honda Odyssey - Perfect Sport Family Van
Our family of 7 needed an affordable, used van (for a good price) that would also be reliable for our constant traveling. While the age of our van meant it had more than a few dings and dents, we've spent less on maintenance than on any vehicle we've ever owned!
Historia
Every weekend people recognize my van around the softball fields where my girls are avid players. On the road when they see my van, they know where we're headed!
A Favor
The large interior space was a must for all our groceries and softball equipment which we lug around almost every weekend of the year. This van has been dependable and never left us stranded. Almost everything in it is better and more convenient than our other mini-van.
En Contra
Because of the age we do have wear and tear and not enough electrical plugs in convenient places. There is also no auxiliary cord plug which is understandable in a van built in 2001. I do not like that you have to pop the gas cap panel from inside the van.
2000 Honda Odyssey - A very reliable van
The 2000 Honda Odyssey may have a strange name, but its value and reliability is unmatched. I have over 200,000 miles on it and she is a dream, easy to fix, and the repairs are reasonable to pay. She drives like a car and feels like a truck. I can load whatever in the back, and with the sliding door there is easy access to the side or rear. It is very roomy, fits 7 people, or two motorized scooter and 4 suitcase and one walker.

Well the car has been wreaked 4 times and it always keep us safe
A Favor
Pro I would say is reliability, easiness to drive, and cost of ownership. The ability to load anything in the back of the van. The feel of the interior is comfortable and feel like something I would drive.
En Contra
For the con I would say the biggest problem is the transmission. They have internal problem that affect the 1999-2004 models with constant failure that usually result in a new transmission. The sliding door also have some issue with opening and closing and beep even when the door is closed.
