I am pleased with the reliability of my Hyundai Excel. In the four years since original purchase there has yet to be a mechanical failure other than caused by normal wear and tear such as replacing the brakes, battery, and wiper blades. I am thrilled with the generous warranty, which was a huge decision in investing in this vehicle. After 40,000 miles my car is still covered. For the asking price and features you get, you really can't go wrong.

The 2008 Hyundai Elantra was a great car for the early years of my adulthood. It has hardly had any mechanical issues. The performance is not amazing, with a lower than average speed and acceleration, but it has never failed me. Outside of the typical maintenance (oil change, tires, etc.), it only needed a new transmission which was covered by the warranty. Cosmetically, there are a lot of issues. The center console is weak and broke very early on in my ownership. The volume knob, and other knobs, do not work properly and sometimes do not work at all. The passenger side window control failed. Overall, this is a reliable vehicle with none of the nice-to-haves in it.
