Reliable and roomy.
I like it because it is American made. It gets decent gas mileage. It is roomy enough and very solid. The parts are inexpensive and relatively easy to procure. It does have some problems with leaks into the front driver floor board. It has been a trustworthy vehicle to get us from point A to point B. I like that the insurance is affordable also. I like that the back is large enough so that we can load strange things. Like bales of straw on a tarp. In addition, the towing package is great. It has nice console and roomy glove box as well as decent headlights. I does seem to be a bit prone to rattling in certain places. The back door is very heavy to open and the back wiper is a failure.

Why I still drive my jeep
I leased my Cherokee in 2002, decided in 2005 that I wanted to keep this one and leave the lease program. I didn't like the boxy body style they had changed to that year. I liked my Jeep's curvy lines and color. She has served me well over the past 13 years. The four wheel drive has been handy to have in snow and mud. The fold down seats, and larger cargo area were just what I needed for the six years I owned a small convenience store in a small town. Not many things were delivered, since I couldn't order small quantities, so the Jeep made weekly trips to Kokomo to get supplies from Sam's and GFS. The Jeep has almost 174,000 miles from regular trips to work, to trips to Pennsylvania, Iowa and Missouri. There have been few mechanical problems, and all have been easily repaired. Mostly just wear and tear and natural degeneration of parts.
