The car handles well, is pretty comfortable but lacks a lot of frills. It's very good at saving you money in gas and has been very reliable so far. When I purchased it I took it on a road trip from Los Angeles to Tucson, up to The Grand Canyon and back home through Las Vegas. It handled the mountain roads (and some horrible MapQuest directions on rough unpaved roads very well.) I have a 23 mile commute to work on LA's busiest freeways so I wanted something affordable with great mileage and the car is perfect for my needs. The trunk could be roomier and it could be a bit more comfortable but I wasn't paying for luxury. The back seat is surprisingly comfortable for a car this size with enough leg room so passengers don't get their knees crushed. The included stereo sounds good, air conditioner and heat works really well. The one issue I've had is the tires seem to lose air fairly regularly, other than that in 3+ years of ownership I've only ever needed routine maintenance. You can't top the 10 year 100,000 mile warranty, like I said I haven't had to use it. Handles well maneuvering LA's freeways and crazy drivers, or skirting up Mulholland's windy roads. For the great price and great mileage you do sacrifice some power, has to be a trade off, but for what I was willing to pay I feel I got the best car possible.
