Buyer beware.
The 2007 Kia Rio is a sharp-looking fuel-efficient car. It is just the right size to get around town in. It is an amazing first car for a teenager or anyone looking for a good price. When you buy privately from an individual, as I did, be aware the vehicle may not be in optimal working condition. This particular vehicle had fuel injection problems at the time of fueling up where it would not crank until one presses the fuel peddle several times. Within one year of ownership, the catalytic converter needed to be replaced so did the oxygen sensor. This vehicle had a parasitic drain which would cause the vehicle to not start even after battery replacement and a new alternator. The remedy for this issue was the purchase of a new computer. After an investment of $2,000 beyond the purchase price, the vehicle is in good working condition. It takes a lickin’ but sure keeps on tickin'. Being ten years old, the paint has begun to fade especially on the roof, but as mentioned before, now that it has been repaired, we look forward to a couple more years with this car.

My Kia Rio fits me very well; it's tiny and cute. It runs great, and as far as mechanics goes, it's a champion. Mine is almost at 200,000 miles and running strong. As far as electronics and basic function? Not great. Three times in five years I've had to replace the multifunction switch, and the door latches are hellish. If they aren't stuck, they are just full-on busted.

It is not a luxury vehicle, but it performs well and has low maintenance.
I like the simplicity and easy up keep. If any problems were to arise with the car, it would be easy and less expensive to maintain than another car.
