The Kia Sorento is a great vehicle for the typical family (2adults / 2 children). I say this because it offers plenty of room for this size family for in-town activities like commuting to work and delivering kids to school, and it offers the size availability to pack up the family for vacation. The third row seat has space for two more passengers as well. The V6 engine and all wheel drive give enough power and torque to drive in varying conditions while the interior offers surprising comfort all around. The panorama rooftop window seems to bring the outside world in while riding, which is a great feature. Perforated leather seats offer style and comfort. The driver side seat is heated and cooled for added comfort while the front passenger side only offers heat. It would have been a great add for the passenger to get cooling as well. Really, the only thing that I dislike about the vehicle is the fuel economy. It manages only about 20 mpg in the city and about 25 mpg on the highway. Seems like in this day and age we would get better than that.

I have had the car for a little over two years at this point and have more often than not enjoyed it. However, I did have an issue about a year or so ago where my engine completely locked up due to what the dealership called "lack of maintenance" even though I had it serviced. They refused to warranty the vehicle for this reason, which caused me to have to take out a loan to replace the motor. I have seen that this is not the only incident of this happening with this particular vehicle. Aside from that major setback, the vehicle itself is great.
