2011 Mazda Mazda3 - An affordable car with a sporty feel
I previously owned a Chevy Cavalier, which I believed to be a great car. They stopped making them so I did research and came across the Mazda 3. A nice sized sedan with a sporty feel to it. It was also priced lower than most cars in its same category. I was not super keen on buying a foreign car since I had so much luck with my Chevy, but I'm glad I did. The Mazda is compact but also has a lot room. The trunk is a great size and the back seat folds down for added room. As a shorter person, I like the adjustable seat and steering wheel. I have had this car for 5 years (it's paid off finally) and it still runs very well.
Historia
My grandmother loves to plant flowers in the summer so every year I take her to Home Depot for supplies. Last year she purchased like four 50 pound bags of dirt, as well as many trays of flowers. I was able to fit all of the dirt and some flowers in the trunk, with several more flowers in the back seat. Lucky it was just the two of us, although I had to carry all four huge bags from the sidewa... (more)
A Favor
Spacious but still small enough to parallel park on the street
Sporty feel, speeds up quickly
I love the color (gunmetal blue)
I also love that I can adjust the radio on the steering wheel
En Contra
If you need to take more than 4 people in the car, it can be tight.
I can't transport larger things because of space.
It cost extra to have keyless entry/blue tooth, so I opted not to get it.
2007 Mazda Mazda3 - Zoom zoom indeed!
Overall, what drew me to this car was the low mileage, despite the year. I researched various used Mazda's for looks at comparable cars and could not find another option that fit all of my needs. First, I loved the sporty look and low-profile tires, making it looks sleek and not like a station wagon. I love the hatchback model of this car, because it gives easy access to the back, and you can pop the seats down for maximum room. I was able to pack everything I had in my college dorm into the back of this car, and it lasted through many trips to college.
Historia
When I was homeless between two apartment leases in college, I was able to pack up every single thing I owned and keep it in my car. I moved my car from one parking place to another to make sure I didn't get a ticket and crashed at friend's places until my next lease started.
A Favor
The hatchback model of this car is the best feature, as it allows so much more space for transporting goods. I once purchased a large, 60" TV and was able to put all the seats down and put it in the back of my car. This would not happen if I had a usual sedan.
En Contra
Even though the low profile tires look sleek and cool, the thinner tires at any sales place cost more than others. Each tire averages over a hundred dollars, which can be higher than normal. Also, with the hatchback design, you need to be careful of blind spots in the side mirrors.
