Amazing power for a mid-size car.
This car is a great quality car. The inside has an incredible amount of leg room for not only the front passengers but the back as well. The trunk space is huge and can carry quite a bit of luggage. It rides smoothly even on roads that are full of holes and have bumps and needs to be redone. All the controls are easy to read and to find. Most vehicles you can't figure out. I have been able to find everything from wipers to radio controls easily. Also, I was surprised at the little hidden storage spaces throughout the vehicle to keep things in! I really appreciate that! There is only a couple of things that I was a little surprised with. The gas mileage isn't quite as good as I expected; it does use more than I was led to believe. And second the cup holders are a little small.

My 2012 Altima was the first sedan I purchased after becoming a father. I needed something with enough room to cart around kids, and this certainly provided the space I needed. The interior is spacious and comfortable, and while the interior is not fancy, it is neatly trimmed out and designed. It was an affordable car, but has a sense of tidy design on the interior. The 2.5L four cylinder engine is mated to a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) which is becoming more standard throughout Nissan's fleet. At first I was intrigued by the operation of the transmission, but had some concerns with the durability of a belt driven transmission. Having driven the car for over three years now, I can say that the transmission - while not particularly sporty - is very smooth and comfortable for my 20 miles of highway driving I do every day. The 175 HP engine has enough pep to be a good family car, and the handling is comfortable but crisp.
