The 2008 Nissan Altima is a full size sedan with mediocre features overshadowed by a bumpy ride coupled with a scary transmission. While the vehicle has a very roomy interior and a good looking exterior, what's under the hood can be a little frightening. The earlier years CVT (continuous variable transmission) is loud, clunky, and expensive to maintain. The road noise is loud inside the cab, and the ride is fairly bumpy with not a lot of road "comfort".

The Nissan Altima is one of my favorite cars. It handles great and has excellent visibility. It is compact, so it is easy to park and fit in tight spaces. It has plenty of storage space and room for passengers. It gets excellent gas mileage. The body style is nice and it is available in a variety of colors. Low maintenance, very rarely have issues with it and usually an easy fix. Makes my ten hour commute to/from college four times a year with no problems.
