It has been reliable. However, the gas mileage could be better. I'm really pretty neutral about it.
The Nissan Frontier has been a reliable vehicle. The drivers side lock broke after only 3 months. I was told this was not covered under the warranty even though I had paid for an extended bumper to bumper warranty. This did not make any sense to me. In the future I would not purchase and extended warranty from ANY dealer. It's a rip off. The only major work I've had to do to it was replace the front wheel bearings. The parts were reasonably priced but most of the cost went into the labor for the repairs. Other than that it has been regular wear and tear type things that I had to repair...battery, break pads, tires, etc. The handling of the Frontier is lacking in the rain. It slides around a lot but I guess this has more to do with it being a truck...it doesn't have much weight in the back so not a lot of traction.
