I've only owned Nissan cars because the quality is undeniable. My Nissan Versa was no exception. I bought it used, a year old, with 8,000 miles on it. It gave me minimal to no problems for 4 years. Around the 5th year, normal wear and tear issues arose such as needing a new battery and muffler but nothing extensive. I made multiple trips across state lines varying from 200-700 miles in length, again with no issues. The gas mileage was very good on the highway. For being a sub-compact car, there was actually a decent amount of space, especially in the trunk. My specific Versa was a stock model, so there weren't many bells and whistles, but I still always enjoyed driving it. I know that the Versa is a low-end model for Nissan, so the car had more issues and lower quality than what you would expect from a Nissan Maxima or Altima, for example. But the price was very reasonable for a reliable and well-manufactured car.

I am 6'3, so roominess is important to me. The Versa has lots of head and leg room, and is feels very comfortable on long trips. The car has excellent pickup, which I like for getting on and off superhighways. Also, the dash controls do not have a screen for backing up - just a digital radio/cd display, which I like. The trunk has plenty of room for all the gear I take on car camping trips.
