2007 Pontiac G6 - An everyman's car
The 2007 G6 is an all-around vehicle. It is average in most every way. The fuel mileage, the handling, the interior, and on. That, however, is enough for most people. Most people don't need to commute long distances to work constantly with a car in every day life. I am not one of those people either, so this car works well for someone like me.
Historia
Driving back with it for the first time. It was quite enjoyable compared to my old vehicle. The car felt more responsive, was smoother to ride in, had better, more modern looking interior (despite the chrome dashboard, ha-ha) and actually had a digital radio.
A Favor
Looks newer than it is, relatively stylish. The extra trunk space by lowering the back seats is very handy if you need more space. It also rides fairly smooth. If you have back issues, this car probably won't add to them with unnecessary bumpy drives around town.
En Contra
The turning isn't as good as I'd hope. It has about 3/4 the turning radius as a van. You need more space to maneuver it than the average vehicle at this size. The chrome dashboard is quite out of style and is the worst looking part of the car overall; the font used in the dashboard is also quite cheesy looking, but if you're willing to overlook these features, there is a lot of good in the car overall.
2008 Pontiac G6 - Lemon
Overall, the G6 was a very expensive to maintain. It seemed like as soon as I fixed one problem, another would emerge.
Historia
Sober cabbing my friends to the bars was always fun. One of my most memorable moments with that car was driving to Somerset, WI to go camping for the weekend with friends.
A Favor
The vehicle drove very nice when I first bought it. I bought it used. It was stylish, handled great, and got very impressive gas mileage for being a six-cylinder car. The stock sound system was great, and the interior was very comfortable and modern. There were so many made that parts are very easy to find.
En Contra
Shortly after I purchased the car, I noticed a burning smell and small amounts of smoke coming from under the hood. I took the vehicle into the shop to discover that my radiator was leaking. That was the first repair. Next my transmission fluid line came loose as I was driving home one day. I lost all power immediately and had to push the car down the road. After the transmission line was repaired, I noticed a periodic ticking sound coming from the engine. The mechanic put over a thousand dollars in parts into it. Head gasket cover, timing cover, and oil filter adapter all had to be replac... (more)

2002 Pontiac Grand Prix - Neader Motors Inc La Crescent
They were willing to get me into a vehicle that wasn't going to "nickel and dime" me.
