2013 Ram Pickup 1500 - Rugged and dependable
I currently own a 2013 RAM 1500 Bighorn Crew Cab 4x4. I have owned the truck since it was new. As of this morning, it has 22,785 miles on it. What steered me to purchase the RAM 1500? ItÕs rugged Òbig rigÓ looks and, most of all, the great deals that they usually have on them.
Historia
Drove my truck from Boise, Idaho, to San Antonio, Texas, and squeezed out 23 mpg!
A Favor
With the 5.7L Hemi, you have amazing power and tons of torque to pull/haul whatever you might need. For a pickup, it has a very smooth ride, and the interior noise levels are very low. One thing I do dislike is its low fuel economy. The fit and finish on both interior and exterior is pretty solid.
En Contra
Mileage is my biggest gripe. Now my truck does have 3.55 gears, so itÕs geared a bit lower, but IÕm averaging about 15 mpg in town and 18-19 highway. However, it is equipped with the optional 32-gallon tank. When full, this tank can cause the truck to lean to driver side. The stock suspension offers a very smooth ride, but it could be better. I ended up swapping out all four shocks for Bilstein 5100s. I also added TufTruck rear coils, which increased to payload by 20% to equal/out perform its competitors.
