I bought (or financed to buy) my Impreza while I was in college. I've had it for almost 9 years, and it's traveled with me short distances to friend's houses and very long distances across the country. Currently, my car has over 125,000 miles and is still going strong. The car has a smaller build and is very easy to control. One of the benefits of buying a Subaru is that all (but 1) of their cars has all-wheel drive, which helps with ease of control in steering and maneuvering. The style of the body still feels very contemporary, even as an almost 9-year-old car. The interior is cloth, and this has started to become harder to clear. I have a dog, and the hair is very difficult to get off the seats. The fuel economy isn't as great as other cars -- it's about 19 mpg city and 24 mpg hwy. This is partially due to the car having all-wheel drive, which I consider a benefit overall. The fuel tank is rather large -- almost 16 gallons, so I can go a while without filling up the tank. My Subaru Impreza completely suits me. It is compact, durable, and can get me anywhere I need to go all while being gas efficient. I spend a lot of time in my car for my commute and it is comfortable, easy to drive, and has plenty of storage room. The maintenance on my car has been little to none, just my regular check ups and oil changes. One thing I would change about my car would be the back seat room. There is not much foot room for passengers riding in the back.
