I have been impressed with the quality of the Subaru Outback. We have a luxury edition, and the interior was impeccable even at its age. The engine has held up well, and we are now past 200,000 miles, and I anticipate another 25,000 if we keep up with maintenance. Stereo system is broken, however, and there are electronic issues that repairmen have been unable to address. The inside has felt a little cramped for someone of my height, and it is difficult for others to sit behind the driver's seat when I drive. The driving performance is average. It feels like a lighter car compared to other cars I've driven but doesn't feel peppy or powerful during acceleration. It has done well in the snow. The hatchback is a big advantage for my small family as we grocery shop and haul other items.
