We love our Prius! It is excellent on gas at about 44mpg. We have had the car for 4 years, and the only maintenance it has needed is oil changes and tire replacements. We once drove from Meridian, MS to Chesapeake, OH to Raleigh NC and back to Mississippi on less than $60 in gas (with gas at about $1.60/gallon at the time). That's 55 hrs worth of driving time! We road trip a lot so the car is perfect for us.

I like how smooth the drive is. It's an extremely efficient car, although I'm not exactly too fond of the shape of the car and its style. It saves me money, and I love the acceleration. I never feel any hesitation in switching gears
