This is the third Prius we have purchased because it meets our criteria. We are impressed with it’s acceleration, fuel economy, and cargo carrying flexibility. Not only does it average over 56 MPG, but the maintenance costs for our first 2 years of ownership have been extremely low. Unlike our 2 previous Prius’ the interior design on our new one is dramatically more stylish and inviting. As senior citizens on a fixed budget to own a car that practically pays for itself in fuel and maintenance savings is a relief to our budget. The exterior has been updated with a fresh new appealing look that makes it easy on the eyes. The Prius is equipped with 3 different driving settings. In the Electric mode (only at slow speeds) we get our best fuel savings. Instrument panel readings sometimes indicate over 100 MPG. In Power mode we experience the peak power performance the Prius has to offer. But, Economy mode is where we spend the bulk of our driving time. In Economy mode we have the best of both fuel efficiency and acceleration performance. Our Prius is the total package for us. We get style, performance, economic fuel efficiency, and low costs of operation. Plus, when we drive down the road in our beautiful Hypersonic Red Prius we feel it looks much more expensive than it is.
