I've had this car for a little while, and so far, it is one of the best cars I've owned. I've never had a hybrid before, but now that I have one, I am regretting not getting one earlier. The gas efficiency is amazing and helps save a lot of money. Riding inside is also a lot smoother, as it doesn't vibrate as much as a gas only car. Great car.

The Toyota 2011 plug-in Prius is an incredible car. Its buttery-soft leather interior makes it a pleasure for long-distance travel and its interior is roomy enough to accommodate luggage and four adults. The back seats fold down individually or together so, when it's just my husband and me, we're able to fit as lot into what appears to be a small space. The car has a small footprint, but has held a pair of 6'8" elephant tusks along with several paintings acquired at auction, with my husband driving and me in the back seat. The sound system is phenomenal, and the Sirius XM satellite radio package that comes with it has made me forget what traditional radio is like - no more commercials for me! This makes it nice for road trips because we're not stuck listening to DVDs or forced to look for new stations constantly as we travel from one area to another - we simply leave it on the satellite channel of our choice, even in mountainous regions. Electronic cars and hybrids receive a bad rep for being slow and for having no power, but our Prius holds its own in any traffic situation. It helps that my husband is a former race car driver, perhaps, but our quiet, easy-handling vehicle rides comfortably and zips along the highway keeping up with the current traffic flow. The mileage is incredible - we get at least 55 miles per gallon in the mountains, and often average closer to 65 MPG on long trips. City driving can bring us closer to 80 MPG at times. It's great to plug the car in at night and to know that we won't have to refuel for at least three weeks. Our Prius accelerates to 65 MPH in one minute, tops, and it brakes quickly; it has to, in the New York tri-state area! I won't drive in Manhattan, but I'm comfortable in any other traffic in this area, and this wonderful car makes maneuvering a breeze. It's kept me out of a few scrapes by allowing me to swing around accidents that have happened right in front of me, so I'm grateful to Toyota for the safety features they've built in. The only things I really don't like are lack of heated and cooled seats, and lack of dual climate control. Otherwise, this beats the Mercedes I used to have hands-down!
