I leased the Prius hoping for great gas mileage. I did get terrific mileage, averaging 54mog, but the ride, room, and comfort surprised me. This little car rides like a much bigger car. It handles beautifully. It's smooth, responsive, and lots of fun to drive. I'm not a small person, and I felt very comfortable in the Prius. The seat, leg, and headroom were more than adequate for my husband's six foot frame and long legs. The real surprise came when we went to the local garden center. We needed 12 bags of mulch and we're sure we'd have to make two separate trips. We folded down the rear seats and began loading bag after bag of mulch. Not only did the 12 bags fit easily, but we could have fit in a few more. This little car had more room in the rear than my much larger sedans trunk! In the time of our lease the car needed only routine maintenance, which was covered. It cost us nothing more than the lease payments. I have to give it 5 stars for ride, comfort, reliability, and gas mileage. One of the best cars I've ever had. Love this Prius!

The car gets excellent gas mileage. It's not really designed for a hectic, growing family, however. There's no hitch on the back, so I couldn't take myself and my kids to the lake to go boating. And going to visit their Nana and PopPop was difficult because there is virtually no trunk. Also, the car seems to have difficulty in elevation when going from driving below sea level to the Appalachian mountains. But for having to drive in the city you live in, it's ideal.
