This truck is very dependable. It has never failed to start for me in almost eleven years of ownership. I have had no mechanical breakdowns of any kind. It is a very comfortable vehicle to drive, even on long trips, and the five-speed transmission is very good on gas. The cab is very well designed; the layout is very functional and also attractive to the eyes.
Historia
I bought a shed at Lowes. They loaded it on the back, and it sank down really low. I started out for home and got pulled over immediately. I had to go back to Lowes and have them take it back off and deliver it.
A Favor
This truck does not require extensive maintenance. It is very good on gas, both on the highway and around town. It is tough enough to do the work of a pickup truck but also rides like a car. It is very comfortable to ride in. It has never failed to start in any kind of weather. The factory stereo it came with is awesome. I've never had it up higher than 50% and it rocks! Under the hood everything is easy to find and get at, but you don't have to because the vehicle is so dependable. It just runs and runs and goes forever.
En Contra
The only negative I have found is with the transmission. The gear ratios are not ideal for city driving. When turning the corner on a city block, second gear is too high and the engine bogs down a little, but when you jam it down into first, then that gear is too low and it revs high and the vehicle gets slowed down because of the low gear. Also, even though I drive very consistently, I find sometimes that when I start out in first, something weird happens where the vehicle shakes and rumbles and the gear shift shakes back and forth but not like when you don't give enough gas or pop the cl... This is a great truck especially for someone who often needs to haul large items. It has many pros and very few cons. Some of the pros may win you over. Some of the cons may be no big deal, some of them could also be deal breakers. It depends on what you are looking for in a truck. For someone single or with a small family this truck could be great. If you have children, especially small children, this may not be the truck for you. I urge you to read all reviews and drive the truck for yourself before making a decision.
Historia
I take this truck camping quite a bit. I took my son on his first camping trip in this truck. We were able to haul two kayaks and our bikes. Best trip ever.
A Favor
This truck is great. I love that I can haul almost anything in this truck. I often buy things from out of town and haul them home or to family members. I also really love that I was able to install a back up cam. The backup cam is extremely helpful in parking lots. Because it is a midsized truck it is not difficult to get in and out of. Being a shorter person, I often have trouble getting in and out of vehicles. Gas mileage is high, but lower than most midsized trucks.
En Contra
Although I love this truck, it isn't the most spacious vehicle I have ever owned. My kids also have trouble getting out of this midsized truck. The ride isn't the most comfortable. The gas mileage is quite high and I often find myself filling up 1-2 times a week although I only drive short distance back and forth to work 5 times a week.
