This truck is quality from the ground up. The exterior is sporty and the trim held up well over the past 14 years. Cargo capacity is excellent. This truck sits higher up than most, offering great visibility. This model has only a 4 cylinder engine but it performs nicely with average gas mileage of 21 mpg. I have almost 190K miles and it has not needed anything but routine maintenance items like tires and oil changes. The interior is adequate. Seats are cloth and stain resistant. The instrument panel is easily visible. Visibility is good and blind spots are negligible. This is the king cab version - I would have preferred the extra cab with four doors. Air conditioner works well in a hot Arizona environment. Console cubbies are roomy and easily hold tools and gadgets. The radio rocks! If I had to do it over again, would get the extra cab with four doors. That is my only complaint. The back "seat" is hard to access and mostly nonfunctional. It might also be nice to have a six cylinder engine in mountainous areas. Regardless, this truck was a good buy and it has held its value well. Toyota is a quality brand and it has a low cost to own.

This truck handles like a car, takes turns like a champ. Honestly, I love this thing. It has a roomy back seat, big enough for a car seat for my infant. Even with the car seat in the back, there is plenty of room for a passenger in the front. It's safe for my baby, but it can also haul everything I need to get those home improvement tasks completed.
