The Toyota Tacoma is your typical Toyota truck. Reliable, as ever, well built, efficient, and just the right size for light to moderate duty. I got the stronger v6 engine and haven't had any problems at all 120,000 miles later. Engine runs strong, Automatic transmission still shifts smooth, and it has held its resale value better than anything else in the category. The TRD package I got seems very capable in the light off-road duty and fire roads I frequent. Suspension has been sturdy, and the tires held up well. 4wd shifts on the fly, and has differential locks, low, etc for even better off-road capability.

I have driven Toyota trucks since 1991 when I bought my first extended cab with them. I loved how that one had a split seat. In 2004 I was on to my 4th truck with Toyota. Purchased the 4Door. I loved it although it felt a bit cramped in the. In 2008 I purchased my latest 4Door and I have to say they made more room in the cab via width and length. It is quite roomy and gives enough seating for all the seat belts provided.
